Executive Team

James H. Collins, Founder and CEO, has served as a senior executive for the last twenty years specializing in the management of rapid growth companies across a broad array of industries, including healthcare.

Mr. Collins joined Scripps Clinic in 1998 as President, CFO and Director to refocus and reorganize the Clinic’s business and financial operations. The Clinic was successfully sold in 2000. Prior to that, Mr. Collins co-founded an HMO development and management company, and opened five multi-state HMOs. He spent ten years as a senior executive with a prominent regional investment bank and five years with an international public accounting firm.  He is a Certified Public Accountant and NASD General Securities Principal receiving his BS and MBA degrees from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

C. Gresham Bayne, MD, Founder and Chief Medical Officer, is the Founder, Chairman and Medical Director of the Call Doctor Medical Group. Since forming Call Doc 22 years ago, Dr. Bayne has remained dedicated to enabling physicians and medical groups across the country to offer better housecalls to their patients through technology. 

Board-certified in emergency medicine, an author, the former Chairman of the world’s largest military EMS system (U.S. Naval Hospital, San Diego, CA) and an Associate Professor of Medicine and Surgery at the UCSD School of Medicine, Dr. Bayne retains the clinical respect and organizational skills needed to thoroughly understand and run a complex medical group. The President of the American Academy of Home Care Physicians, Dr. Bayne shares the organization’s committment to “promote the art, science, and practice of medicine in the home.”  He lectures on a national basis.
